WOYWW - my DIY carved stamp!

I've never done this before, but I wanted to try to make my own stamp. I thought that it would be better to make a big one. A small stamp might just be to intricate to carve, because I've never done this before.
  I drew a flaming heart { I'm really into flaming hearts lately  }
directly on this rubber carving block and then just started carving away!
Not really knowing if I wanted to take more of the carving rubber off or not
I made a first control of how it would look when stamped.
I really like the way it turned out!!

So now I have an absolute unique and one of a kind stamp that nobody else has!  I think that I'm going to have to try this out in my journal.

Gotta go now, I'm off to journal again

Hugs,

  3. Wonderful! Beautiful job! And isn't it just too addictive how carving into that soft rubber feels! Just a tip - I like how my hand-carved stamps look if I use paint intead of ink... thanks for the peek into your arty stuff! Lynne #55

  4. What a lovely individual stamp - well done. I'm not a scrapbooker or journal maker but I do linocut prints so I appreciate the work you have done - keep being original I say. Have a great week x Jackie 22

  11. Great job. Was it very difficult to cut? Do you need special tools? I'd love to give it a try but don't know where to even start!
    Have a great day.

  12. Great job! One area I've not ventured into yet. Though there are a couple of designs that if I want them as stamps, I might have to. I hope mine turns out 1/2 as well as yours. Kudos! Creative blessings! Kelly #42
