Viva la Frida! - #cre8TEAvity

This past weekend I went to a Frida Kahlo exhibit in Baden-Baden, Germany.
I just can't tell you how beautiful that it was!
If you are in Germany and have the chance to travel to Baden-Baden
you might want to check out the KunstMuseum Gehrke-Remund
It's well worth the visit!

Renderings....

The Call of the Wild Soul Art Retreat
What an outstanding experience
Whether it's Erin Faith Allen  for her passion { Girl you are on fire! }
and  for the organization of this retreat in the magical city of Prague

Katie Kendrick for taking such a "breathtaking dive into dimensions of consciousness" and showing me what I am capable of

Orly Avinieri who truly captured my soul with her heartwarming spirit and her one-of-a-kind alchemy of journal making, which is so very special

Michelle Hazell for such a magical creative experience -
guiding us with our spirit dolls/medicine bundles ( which I attached to my journal )

Polly Pring for taking such good care of all of us  - a biiiiigggg KISS here ! -
( this is the marble tabletop of my bedside table in Prague... can you see that heart?! )
and not to forget each and everyone of my fellow classmates

Just thinking of this wonderful experience puts tears to my eyes.
A big THANK YOU to each and every one of you for this expierence and your encouragement!
You all have a special place in my heart.

August 2016

I don't know if you read that post of mine last month, after I got back home from vacation. I mentioned that I was seeking out for some new creative projects. Projects to bring me forward. Not only as an artist, but as a person. To get me out of my comfort zone and jump into something new.

Well I found what I was looking for....
I'll be off to Prague by the end of the month. To make art with Erin Faith Allen, Orly Avineri and Katie Kendrick. Oooohhh weeeeeee, I'm just so excited!!!

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday, take care.

Hugs,

P.S. Don't forget that if you follow me on instagram you'll be able to peek through the keyhole and get into the action with me in Prague. As if you were standing right by my side

Connecting up with { my tribe }

I'm getting these lovely ladies of mine wrapped up and ready to go to all different countries around the globe.

I made these ATC's with the beautiful women in mind that I met on an Art Retreat in London last year with the one and only JANE {Danger} DAVENPORT. We all have a passion for art and above all painting faces.

I am so blessed to know these women and I feel the urge to create in a new surrounding again with likewise woman.

Back home

I arrived back home from vacation safe and sound,
but what am I to do when my heart and soul are still at the sea?

During vacation I reflected on my life and pondered over upcoming creative projects. What projects will bring me forward. Not only as an artist, but as a person. I want to get out of my comfort zone and jump into something new. Just like jumping into that crystal clear blue water that I enjoyed so much over the past weeks.

Wishing you a lovely creative Wednesday!

Journaling in Morocco

If you're like me you always have a small stash of art supplies with you when you travel. As so on my recent trip to Morocco.
   I took two small journals,
  some watercolor papers
and a few pencils with me.

I love to find a nice place in the sun...
sketching, drawing & doodling the day away.

Of course I found some feathers...

which where just perfect to sketch.
What more does a girl want?!

So remember... never leave home without a small stash of art supplies!

Wishing you a lovely and creative start in the new week.

My first Art Retreat... in London

Yes, with the one and only Jane {Danger) Davenport!!!!

I had such a wonderful time. And I do know that I will know be going to Art Retreats on a regular basis. It was just so wonderful. I wanna let you in on my trip to London...
We all stayed at the wonderful "Windmill" in Clapham Common, London
I have to let you take a peek at my breakfast ... and the tea. Mmmmhhhhh!

Our days where full of fun creating...

watching Jane create

{ and seeing her journals "in person" !!}

visiting { and yes, even creating} ...
in museums
galleries
visiting shops

and spending our evenings together, sharing our stories.

Yippie, even got some goodies from Jane herself!!!

And yes, we even destroyed bad art supplies!
We actually wanted to burn them ;-)

It was just so exciting. One whole week of serious fun &
creativity with beautiful woman. Exploring London with all of what it has to offer.

Now I will be taking my art journal with me more often than usual. Maybe go to a coffee shop or museum and sketch, paint or just ponder and look through that journal.
Back home I realize that I truly need art and creativity. It inspires me, calms me, nourishes me. And yes, it soothes my soul. Hope that you have some time to get creative too!
