WOYWW Roses to inspire me...

before I start to carve my stamp for an
Advent-Mail-Art-Adventure - postcard swap.

We are supposed to create a stamp with a repeating pattern...
Have to make a first sample.
{ drumroll please }
YES! Eureka! It works!!!

I always love to hop over to Julia's place every once in a while to see what's happening on other creative desktops. A wonderful place to be on Wednesday!

Happy stamp carving!
Happy WOYWW!

Recently

I normally write down my "to do" list in an altered book.
I then eventually just paint or sketch over the page.
But sometimes things just turn out different.
As recently...

Sat down to write my list, but instead I start sketching... and painting

 before I know it I forgot all about my "to do" list.

{ wrote it down later on a scrap of paper instead - smile }

I guess creative minds are different!

Michelle Hazell for such a magical creative experience -
guiding us with our spirit dolls/medicine bundles ( which I attached to my journal )

  Polly Pring for taking such good care of all of us  - a biiiiigggg KISS here ! -

Connecting up with { my tribe }

I'm getting these lovely ladies of mine wrapped up and ready to go to all different countries around the globe.

I made these ATC's with the beautiful women in mind that I met on an Art Retreat in London last year with the one and only JANE {Danger} DAVENPORT. We all have a passion for art and above all painting faces.

I am so blessed to know these women and I feel the urge to create in a new surrounding again with likewise woman.

Connect with your tribe!

ATCs in progress
I met some wonderful woman at an Art Retreat that I went to last October in London. We shared art { and art supplies! } our lives & stories and just had so much fun together.
As we live all over the world - USA, Germany, Great Britain, Luxembourg and Australia - it will be hard to see each other again. We are still in contact, but we would dearly like to see each others art. To see how each of us and our art, are evolving. That's why we have decided to trade small pieces of artwork every three months.
Our first trade will be soon and the theme of this first round will be { faces }.

After cutting out four ATC sized cards I then placed them side by side { to “connect" them } and using old book pages, gesso, black paint & then a swoosh of neon pink oil pastel for the grounding.

I was thinking of using four faces that are somehow connected together, yet able to stand alone.
I loosely sketched the profile images on the cards & highlighted the silhouettes

They're coming along quite well now.
Hope to get them finished soon to mail them out to my tribe.

Connect with likewise woman and stay in touch. It's such a wonderful experience.

Wishing you a wonderful creative time.

July 2016

O.K. so this isn't really anything exciting. Yet it is still a secret that I've been having to keep.
You must know that my husband is a total BMW02 fanatic...
The BMW 02 Series is a range of cars that were produced between1966 and 1977 by the German automaker BMW.
His birthday is coming up soon. So what do I do?!...
Yep. I'm drawing cars now (sigh). That must be love ;-)

Wishing you a lovely lazy Sunday.

WOYWW! Chaos { = Creativity } in the studio this Wednesday!

I'm joining in on the fun again this week again over at Julias place!
I've got a couple of new art journal spreads going, a couple of tags I'm making, ATC's and getting things all together for a creative gathering with other artists tonight. - We meet on a regular basis once a month and it's called "Stammtisch" here in Germany. You might want to know that besides my passion for art journaling, I just love fine arts! { If your interested in my art might wanna take a peek here --> KünstlerStammtisch Raisting. }
.... and I'm finishing up this wonderful lady here to top it all off. So you can see creativity is really flowing here. Thanks for stopping on over. I'll pop on over to your creative space soon too.

Wishing you a lovely and creative week to come, hope to see you again next Wednesday!

Yay, it's Friday!!

I'm so happy to join in on the fun at PPF again this week! I'm giving this beauty on my desk touch-ups and thinking of getting her framed. It's been a crazy week and want to let you in on a workshop I recently held.

{ Promote your passion }
That's the reason I held an art journal workshop in my area. Along with fine painting, art journaling is a true passion of mine. And I wanted to share this with the women in my community & let you in on the fun we had!
Beautiful woman joined me together for a wonderful evening of adventure. They had no idea what an art journal is nor what it meant or what on earth to do(!)  I have to let you know that art journaling isn't popular at all here in southern Germany.
- I had so much fun creating small tags & ribbons from scraps of cloth
to then package up books to alter and miscellaneous treats for those lovely ladies -

I gave each and every one a small starter kit to take home with them
After I told them a little bit about art journaling, the process of creating and other basic details they took a peek into my numerous journals. We then started. And let me tell you, they were unstoppable. We had so much fun together. Laughing, sharing art and other stories.  Our creative session lasted until late into the night.

The tribe of art journalers has grown since that night. Those ladies fell in love with the process of letting go and creating. Now we'll be meeting on a regular basis. Mission accomplished!!

If you're an art journaler you too might want to flock your tribe together. Try it. I know you'll like it... and there are others out there who might just fall in love.

Hugs,

WOYWW Boho - Baroque - Grandeur ...

Today is What's on Your Work desk Wednesday WOYWW } over at Julia's place!!
...and of course I'm joining in on the fun at AJJ once again this month
{ for the record }
Thank you Linda for such a wonderful theme!!

I wanted to create something with a WOW effect without much effort so I looked through my journals and found a page I had already started. This is what came out....
"is this just real life, is this just fantasy..."
The songs
"Bohemian Rhapsody" - Queen
&
"Rock me Amadeus" - Falco
both inspired me on this one.

And let me tell you, I had lots of fun doing it!
