Another publication!!!

When I began painting on tea bags I never would have believed that people would actually like them. I thought I was just a bit weird.
And now this...
My first publication in ART journaling from Stampington publications!!

I feel so very honored and extremely blessed to be in this excellent magazine. Thank you so much Stampington & Company, for letting me embrace my weird. And thank YOU for letting me know that my weird is o.k. ♥ ♡ ♥

Time out

My happy place (other than my studio) is anywhere near the lake or see.
Just sitting and looking at that "big blue" fills my soul with joy.

What about your happy place?

Possibilties

I'm just thinking over all the possibilities I have on my desk today
my stash of tea bags
upholstery fabric
tissue paper
miscellaneous scraps of paper
{ Yes. I did tear "Miss Imperfection" up to pieces - big smile here! }

So why not sew those bits and pieces of fabric and paper together?

Maybe add a bit of stitching.
Ahhhhh! Just so many possibilities.

Stay creative!

Imperfection

What started out as this

ended up being this
With all of her imperfections

art and creativity are not about being perfect
it's about being wild and free in what you do
and above all
it's about being you

stay wild and free

Happiness is....

Getting happy mail on a gloomy day!
I received this beautiful handmade postcard from Ulrike ( you can find her blog here )
 and I just can' tell you how happy it made me.

This past week I also saw "The Happiness Jar" by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love)
and so I decided to start saving my happy moments each day.
Beginning with my happy mail happy moment from Ulrike

At the end of the day I write down my happy moment(s) on a slip of paper
and put that slip of paper in a jar.
You might want to start a happiness jar too!

Viva la Frida! - #cre8TEAvity

This past weekend I went to a Frida Kahlo exhibit in Baden-Baden, Germany.
I just can't tell you how beautiful that it was!
If you are in Germany and have the chance to travel to Baden-Baden
you might want to check out the KunstMuseum Gehrke-Remund
It's well worth the visit!

Cre8TEAvity

I always love to provide myself with new impulses.
So I'm thinking "Why not use tea  { tea bags, tags etc. }  to get creative?"
{ I'm in my "small is the new big" phase at the moment! }

The first tea bags are drying. So I'm almost ready to get started.

I'll be posting my new creations on Instagram { As many other things that I create daily }.  So if you want to join in on the fun, please just post your tea creativity on Instagram using
#cre8teavity

- In the meantime, I'll have another sip of tea -

So let's get this creative tea party started!!
Hope to see your creations.... ummm, cre8TEAtions!

small is the new big

Does art always have to be big?
Sometimes your voice is just not loud. Instead maybe small and tiny. So why not that journal?
 I bought this one from Josefina and pimped, uhhh "pinked" it up a bit { smile }

 remember .... small is the new big

Happy creating!

P.S.   Here's where you will find Josefina's Blog & her Etsy shop { Bucket of Badgers }

WOYWW Roses to inspire me...

before I start to carve my stamp for an
Advent-Mail-Art-Adventure - postcard swap.

We are supposed to create a stamp with a repeating pattern...
Have to make a first sample.
{ drumroll please }
YES! Eureka! It works!!!

I always love to hop over to Julia's place every once in a while to see what's happening on other creative desktops. A wonderful place to be on Wednesday!

Happy stamp carving!
Happy WOYWW!

Recently

I normally write down my "to do" list in an altered book.
I then eventually just paint or sketch over the page.
But sometimes things just turn out different.
As recently...

Sat down to write my list, but instead I start sketching... and painting

 before I know it I forgot all about my "to do" list.

{ wrote it down later on a scrap of paper instead - smile }

I guess creative minds are different!

Hugs,
