If you're like me you always have a small stash of art supplies with you when you travel. As so on my recent trip to Morocco.
I took two small journals,
some watercolor papers
and a few pencils with me.
I love to find a nice place in the sun...
sketching, drawing & doodling the day away.
Of course I found some feathers...
which where just perfect to sketch.
What more does a girl want?!

So remember... never leave home without a small stash of art supplies!
Wishing you a lovely and creative start in the new week.

Love all your beautiful art!! And my son has a friend who is a missionary in Morocco! That sunshine looks amazing.

How fun to visit Morocco and to be able to have some fun sketching in such a beautiful place. I love your feathers. What a beautiful piece you made with them as inspiration. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the textural subtlety of your feather sketches and the softness of your watercolor washes. I don't believe any true artist would ever travel without art supplies and a camera, so I totally relate to your post. Thank you for your visit to my blog, it was a pleasure meeting you, and blessings!
ReplyDeleteyou must have had a most wonderful trip! the feather sketches are amazing. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vacation, just sun, sand and drawing.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, I just left you a long message and poof, away it went. I am trying to write on someone else's computer as mine is dead, and I am having quite a time with it. I enjoyed my trip to Morocco this morning and seeing your beautiful artwork...I love that feather sketch especially!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my blog this morning...I will try and answer your questions...Each challenge blog has a start and end date to their challenges and a calendar they follow. Our schedule is in the sidebar, and new challenges start the fifth of each month. Each one of the design team hosts another challenge. And on the 19th we Feature an artist from blogland. They will make something to fit the challenge theme. So you would have between the 5th of the month and the 4th of the following month to make and post something fitting to that month's challenge theme--Crazy for Color this month, with Branka as the hostess. If you posted a new piece of artwork with vibrant colors between March 5 and April 4 on your blog, you could enter it for that challenge. At the bottom of your post you would put our name and challenge theme with a link back to our challenge and then link your post to our challenge. We would see your lovely thumbnail then, and then come to your blog and read all about said piece of artwork, and oh and ah over it! Tee Hee!
At the top of our page you will see a button that says "Challenge Info". Click on that, and this will spell out all our guidelines and rules. And perhaps much clearer than I've been able to explain.
Don't worry, we all started with this blogging thing at one time, and for some of us (like me) it takes a while to catch on. We are here to help one another, so feel free to ask, as you have done, and we will try and help you. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know. You can always reach me at sled capon at geemaildotcom if you prefer. I do check that every now and then! Hugs!
Zwei ganz zauberhafte Werke sind da in deinem Urlaub entstanden, das pinke gedoodelte gefällt mir besonders, sieht so nach Urlaub aus,fröhlich frisch.
